Feb 2015 - Aug 2016 Project run with the University of Edinburgh
The Carbon Railcard was a project that aimed to reduce the carbon emissions of air travel by incentivising the switch to rail, by brokering deals between rail operators and organisations that fly a lot domestically, to secure incentives such as discount.
The project came out of my MSc dissertation which led to a deal with the university and Virgin Trains and resulted in a 10% reduction in university domestic aviation carbon emissions. I won the university’s E Club 2016 prize ($1400 equivalent) for this project.
